Certification typically declares some benefit for both growers and consumers, and while it may increase the cost of the coffee somewhat, it encourages sustainable practices in the industry. Some common certifications include Organic, Shade-grown, Bird-friendly, Eco-Friendly or Sustainable, Kosher, Fair-Trade, Child-Friendly, as well as others. See individual listings for many of these, as well as Fairly-Traded and Triple Certified.
